OWA Network and Data Solution respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal
data in accordance with the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173), its
Implementing Rules and Regulations, and issuances of the National Privacy Commission (NPC). This
Notice explains what personal information we collect, why, and your rights over it.
1. Information We Collect
Identity & contact: full name, birthdate, customer type, company name (for
business accounts), mobile and alternate numbers, email address, and preferred contact method.
Installation address: house/unit, street, barangay, city, province, ZIP, and
landmarks needed to survey and install service.
Service & account data: chosen plan, account number, invoices, payments, and
support history.
Technical/network data: modem/ONU identifiers, PPPoE session and connectivity
records used to provision and operate your line.
2. How and Why We Use Your Data
We process your personal information to:
evaluate your application and check serviceability at your address;
install, activate, provision, and maintain your connection;
bill you, collect payment, and issue receipts;
provide customer and technical support and send service notifications; and
comply with legal, regulatory, and lawful government requirements.
3. Legal Basis for Processing
We rely on your consent, the performance of our service agreement
with you, compliance with a legal obligation, and our legitimate
interests in operating and securing our network.
4. Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell your personal information. We may share it only as necessary with:
service providers that help us operate (e.g. SMS and email delivery, payment processing);
our network infrastructure and equipment systems used to provision your line; and
government agencies or authorities when required by law or valid legal process.
5. Data Retention
We keep your personal data only for as long as necessary to provide the service, meet legal and
accounting requirements, and resolve disputes, after which it is securely disposed of or anonymised.
6. Security
We apply reasonable organisational, physical, and technical measures — including access controls and
encryption of sensitive credentials — to protect your data against unauthorised access, alteration,
disclosure, or loss.
7. Your Rights
Under the Data Privacy Act, you have the right to:
be informed about the processing of your personal data;
access your data and obtain a copy of it;
correct inaccurate or outdated information;
object to processing or withdraw consent;
have your data erased or blocked under the conditions set by law;
data portability; and
lodge a complaint with the National Privacy Commission (NPC).
